Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite...just came to a whole new level!

So I have to admit I've been one to use this phrase before, but never knew that bed mites/bugs actually existed. Tonight at work this myth was shattered as I strived to vaccuum up tons of them. They are not a good time. They survive on human's blood, and can live up to 18 months in a house without feasting... EW. I am not one to get grossed out about things, but tonight I actually kind of was. So now I thought I would fill you in, that if you thought they were not real like me....think again. I think I am going to invest in a new bed....possible wedding present??

For more information for interest or if you think this could be you...check out www.wikipedia.org and search bed bugs.

Everyone needs to immerse themselves in a good love story now and then. Amy and I did just that today as we took in the movie 'the holiday' which is now playing everywhere. The story, like most good love stories, contains characters who are either searching for love or unhappy with their life in general. In this particular movie two women - one from London, one from L.A.- switch houses for two weeks in order to escape the stagnant love life that awaits each of them back home. Once in their new surroundings, changes begin to occur and each woman finds themselves learning and experiencing love, though in different manners. But what unites their love stories symbolically, as well as literally at the end of the movie, is the mere ordinariness of it all. Not ordinary as in the sense of being boring, but as something commonplace, real, sometimes romantic, and quite uniquely human. Each of us take part in our own love stories, with all our different characters and conflicts and we too can enjoy the charms of daily love. Whether it's by meeting someone new or seeing an old friend, the romantic feeling of a kiss or the untimely and quite embarrassing petition of a child, love is something to be embraced. And not only in the idyllic sense but in the mere ordinariness that makes life such a joy to live. So go out and see a love story this Christmas, and make sure to star in your own as well!

Have you ever caught yourself watching tv and flipping through the channels, only to find that there really isn't anything good on...except for maybe a little 'question period' on CPAC. It's a situation that both amy and I find ourselves in on a regular basis...anyways for those who would prefer not to spend their time listening in on Canada's House of Commons for little bits of political wisdom, we have obtained a little treat for those who are new to question period and would like to have a sneak preview of what Canada's sweet government has to offer!

PS Doesn't Jack look a bit like a vaccuum salesman??...

HEY LOOK!

ITS US WITH THE FAKE BEE GEES!

WELL STAYIN ALIVE ACTUALLY!

Me and Jer had a great time rocking to Abbamania and Stayin Alive. There were some real die hard fans, but Jer and I tried to cut a good rug up near the stage with all the fans. I think we did alright. How can you not when you are listening to Dancing Queen??

So before I go to bed, I needed to make a blog wide declaration of how great Jeremiah is. Tonight I locked my keys in the car at Safeway...yes and today it is minus 40...so not wise. Jer however drove all the way to Calgary from Okotoks to give me the spare key. I love you Jer. Thank you.
The Picture: Something me and Jer have been experimenting with lately is wine (making it really). I chose this picture becuase it is something Jer does which is kind. Whenever we have something to do with the wine, I basically get to do the fun easy stuff, and he always cleans out the carboy and the utensils. This is him in the tub cleaning. Good man!

So Jer and I are going to ABBAMANIA tonight! It should be a great time. They are a tribute group for ABBA. I figured I should take a moment to reflect on how great ABBA is. The Bee Gees tribute group will also be there. Can't wait!

I'm OUT!

Welcome to the blog of jeremiah overland and amy sorenson! We have both kind of resisted creating a blog for awhile now, but have now decided to give in and share our lives with those that are interested! This year I Amy am in Nursing in Calgary and working part time with a young man named Mark Flores who is really cool! Jer is working with his brother Josh doing construction around the Okotoks area. We got engaged on September 15th this year and are looking forward to planning and spending our lives together. That is all for now. There will be more to come!
